The Verbal Mentor (TVM) was founded in 2020 with a singular focus on filling the chasm that exists between expectations and reality of the MBA and MS prep industry. Our goal is to dispel the disappointment that aspirants preparing for the CAT, the GMAT and the GRE feel while preparing for the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension measures of these exams, to debunk the notion that reading is intuitive, and to provide methodical training in these most crucial skills for academic and professional life.

 

 

The founder and chief mentor, Mr. Parik Jain, has been engaged in the Test Prep space since 2008. He has mentored tens of thousands of students and guided them to their dream colleges, both in India and abroad. Through our utterly logical and scientific approach to language learning, we have been helping students acquire skills required to do well on these exams. We do NOT teach ‘magic strategies to ace these exams’, because, frankly, there are none. We train you in ‘skills’ whose applications go far beyond writing an exam – analytical reading, critical thinking, and the logic of language. The underlying philosophy of all our courses can be summed up thus: The road to scoring well on any exam inevitably goes through self-development. Work on yourself, not on the exam.  It is this credo that helps us prioritize learning over anything else.
